Once you’ve picked out which design you want to make, it’s really simple to complete a shirt.

Let me show you how I do it!

What Do I Need To Make A 100 Days Of School Shirt?

Here are all the things you will need to make a 100 Days Of School shirt with your Cricut.

  • A Blank Shirt
  • Iron-On Vinyl (In whatever colors you would like your design to have.)
  • A Heat Source To Press Your Iron-On Design (I Use The Cricut EasyPress 2, but even your household iron will work.)
  • Your Cricut Cutting Machine With Design Space Readily Available
  • These FREE 100 Days Of School SVG Files (Download at the bottom of this post.)

Before you begin cutting your design, you’ll want to measure how wide and tall your want the design to be on your shirt.

I like to measure using a measuring tape, but if you want to just place your Cricut mat on the shirt, you can get a good gauge as to how wide and tall the design should be as well.

Now you’re ready to get started!

How To Upload These FREE SVG Files To Cricut Design Space

STEP 1: Download the FREE 100 Days Of School SVG files that you’d like to use at the bottom of this post.

To do this, just head down to the bottom of this post and click on the download links for the designs you’d like to make, then save the SVG file(s) to your computer or mobile device.

STEP 2: Upload the design to Cricut Design Space.

You can easily do this on either your computer or mobile device by just going to the Cricut Design Space app, opening a New Project, and then looking for the “Upload” option on the left hand-side toolbar.

Once you’ve clicked here, you will then need to click on “Upload Image” and browse your computer or device for the Free 100 Days Of School SVG file or files that you saved.

Make sure that you leave the image as a “Cut Image”, and then you can name it and tag it to your liking before clicking the “Upload” button.

The last step is to click on the image which will appear under your “Recent Uploads”, and then hit the green button that says “Add To Canvas.”

STEP 3: Size it according to the shirt size you’ll be using.

The first thing you’ll want to do with the design now that you have it in the Canvas is to size it according to the size you’ll want it to be on the shirt that you’re using.

To size it, just select the design and enter in the correct height and width in inches into the “Size” boxes on the toolbar.

STEP 5: Click Make It & Don’t Forget To Mirror It before you cut it!

And now you’re ready to make it!

To start the process you’ll need to click on the “Make It” button on the top right hand-side of Design Space.

The first screen that shows up shows you the mats by colors of iron-on.

You’ll want to individually tap on each mat and click on the “Mirror” option to make sure that your iron-on cuts the right way.

Once your design has been cut, go ahead and weed out, or pull off the negative parts of the vinyl, revealing just the design elements that you’ll be pressing onto the shirt.

Let’s Press That Shirt!

Now that you’ve cut your design, and weeded it, you’ll want to press it using your iron-on vinyl materials suggested settings.

If you’re using the Cricut Easy Press, you can just select the material you’re using and grab the quick press settings right from the Cricut Heat Guide website.

3 Tips To Help You Make The Best Shirts With Your Cricut

1. Fold It Halfway Length-wise To Find The Center. If you’re someone who struggles with alignment, this will help you tremendously! After you’ve folded the shirt give it a good press and make sure that the crease is visible. Use this fold to help you align your design right in the middle.

2. Press It One Layer At A Time. When you’re working with a multiple color design that requires that you layer multiple elements, I find it best to press them one layer at a time. I usually will start with the biggest layer, or the closest to the top layer to help me get a good visual.

Bonus Tip: Always have the design available to look at when you go to press. This way you can try to mimic the placement and alignment of each element. This will give you the best results, in my opinion.

3. Give It A Final Press From The Inside. This is a tip that not everyone knows about, but once you have completely pressed your entire design on the shirt, you want to flip it inside out and give final press. This will help make sure that your iron-on is going to last a long time on your shirt.
